Yes, it's that time again--back to school when folks feel they need to get "back to cool." Truth be told, this is every hair Stylists' favorite time of year. Everyone needs highlights, color, conditioning care and trendy cuts. For most kids, it's that time when their parents shuck out the cash for their new 'do. But what about the children who cannot afford a new style? I am so proud to work for a company that not only thinks the way I do, but also acts on it as well. For Hair Cuttery, back to school also means it's time for Share-A-Haircut. This year will mark Hair Cuttery's 12th annual Share-a-Haircut Program. Every one of our salons participate in donating over 60,000 haircuts to disadvantaged children. Nothing feels better to me than giving back to others. And I'm so glad that our founder, Dennis Ratner, feels the same way. Share-a-Haircut always takes place during the first two weeks of August to make sure that children less fortunate have a fresh style or cut and feel great going back to school. For every client age eighteen and under who receives a haircut within the specified time we will be donating a haircut to a child in need. It's that simple--GET A HAIRCUT TO GIVE A HAIRCUT. Hair Cuttery, being the generous company that it is, matches each haircut to provide one to needy children within the area. That is the best part, everything stays right here! Clients won't have to wonder where the haircuts are being given because it stays within our community. This program has been successful in past years and we are looking for 2011 to be the best Share-A-Haircut Program yet. Share a Haircut ends on Monday August 15th, so there's still time to participate. Thanks for giving back!
