Well, I finally did it, I made a change to my hair that is actually noticeable! Gone are my long dark locks and in their place are some funky, chunky copper highlights and a cut that is four inches shorter and layered all over. And I love it!
I was so ready for a change but so nervous at the same time because of some previous experiences. I was taking part in a Style Squad video shoot when we ran a model short on the second day and I got to step in as the model for one of the highlight packages. It was an amazing experience as it wasn’t just your average color service but I kid you not, I had a TEAM of stylists. Some of our best company educators and our most talented stylists were all there as a part of the shoot and I totally reaped the benefits. They all helped planned the service and the color and I just sat there and enjoyed the pampering and all the fun going on during the shoot.
The results were great and I was really excited to see the difference. Of course to finish the video they had me all styled up for the “after” shot so I was feeling like quite the supermodel. I even had the video crew laughing with me about my new “model” status. What can I say, I’m a cheese ball and love to make people laugh. As an extra bonus, they were taking head shots of the Style Squad and I basically had hair and make up done. It was definitely fun playing model.
It was only a few days before I decided I really wanted to increase the WOW factor of my new do and turn it up a notch. Within a day I was back in the chair of the fabulous Shannon Freeby from the Vienna Hair Cuttery and she was taking charge. She made the streaks bolder, added some low lights for contrast and I even let her cut four inches off. Final result, I love it!! I can’t wait to see what we do next!!
