We receive great feedback from our Clients all the time about their experiences at Hair Cuttery salons. We also hear inspirational stories from our Stylists about special individuals they encounter during their time behind the chair.
This story comes from Brandi Edinburgh of the Owen Brown Shopping Center Hair Cuttery (in Columbia, MD). She describes how she turned a hesitant shopper into a happy (and stylish) Hair Cuttery Client!

It was last Friday. A Client walked in and sat and waited for her turn to be called. The entire time I was watching, she look frightened and nervous, so I introduced myself. She proceeded to tell me how she had not had a haircut in a long time because she has a type of disease that makes her very nervous. I responded by calming her and reassuring her that she was in good hands.
She then began grabbing her hair and said, “I want a really good haircut!” I offered the consultation and inquired about her desired style and then asked if she would like a blowdry to complete her service.
When it was time to shampoo her hair I found that all the shampoo stations were in use, so I turned back to her and said, “While we wait, how about we put in some highlights so we can blend the colors at the bottom of your hair with the top?” She readily agreed but it was obvious she was beginning to get nervous again. I made sure to carefully explain everything I was going to do with her hair as well as the reason why I was doing it to put her at ease.
I began putting the foils in her hair to complete the highlights service and we passed the time by amiably chatting away about anything and everything. After completing the haircut and blowdry she said “Turn me away from the mirror. I want to be surprised.” I turned her away from the mirror as requested and performed my little trick with my styling comb and spray, and turned her back to see the final results. She could not stop thanking me and she was just smiling brightly the entire time. I recommended some products that were perfect for her hair type and style to her which she happily purchased and I made sure to give her my card. She took my hand and told me that I was awesome at what I do. Then a young lady at a nearby store told me that she stopped in after getting her hair cut and said that my Client could not stop flipping her hair. The young lady said to my Client, “Did you just get your hair done?” and she replied “Yes! Brandi is Awesome!” That made me feel great!
