In this photo, HC client Lorrie Spencer, proudly shows off her recently shorn hair which she donated to Locks of Love. In a posting on the HC Facebook page, Lorrie wrote, "Thank you, Lisette, at the Hunt Club/Apopka FL Hair Cuttery. You did a GREAT job giving me a new style after cutting my hair for my donation to Locks of Love."
Locks of Love is a public, non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada (under the age of 21) who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The hairpieces help restore the children's self esteem and confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers with a smile.
You can donate your hair at any Hair Cuttery location from Annadale to Yorktown and every salon in between. And to learn more about this worthwhile cause, visit www.locksoflove.org
